Ways to use Flower Essences

Choosing your own Flower Essences

Edward Bach pioneered Flower Essences in the 1930's and his intention was that it should be simple and safe enough for anybody to choose their own essences. There are many situations where this is completely appropriate.  It is a great way to learn about the action of the essences and about yourself at the same time, becoming an attentive observer of your own emotional state and your responses to the essences.  I support and encourage clients to use flower essences for their own simple difficulties and for their children's day to day difficulties.

Consulting a practitioner

There is also a place for working with someone to select your Flower Essences, especially when you:
  • don't yet feel confident enough to select your own
  • need an objective listener to select the best remedies
  • feel the essences you have selected don't seem to be helping
  • don't have the time to work out which essences will be best for you
  • are working with older or more complicated issues and wish to have additional support in this
  • are uncertain about the responses you are having to the flower essences
  • feel the essences you have access to don't really cover the issues you are dealing with
