About my practice and qualifications
My interest is in helping people to handle emotional difficulties and situational challenges; supporting them to change and grow; and to put tools in their hands to help them do this. I've chosen to work with Flower Essences as they excel in these areas.
By nature I like to look below the surface of problems in order to understand them better. To find the best essence mix for clients I want to gain a cohesive understanding of the pattern of their current problems. This approach is useful in working with short-term, recent problems, and it is most valuable when working with clients with long term, entrenched issues. My Flower Essence and Homeopathic training has given me a good framework for exploring issues with clients and for developing strategies to guide them through the process of change using the essences.
I take a realistic approach to what can be achieved with the essences including awareness of the difficulties that can crop up along the way. Personal growth sounds so positive, but the reality of moving through a process of change is not always comfortable and I like my clients to be aware of this and to have practical ways of handling the creative tension that can precede growth.
I’ve worked as a natural health practitioner since 2007, initially working with homeopathy, then focusing solely on working with Flower Essences since 2010. In 2012 I traveled to California for professional training in Flower Essence Therapy with the Flower Essence Society (FES). This wonderful experience was followed by a year of working on assignments and case studies for FES certification. The FES training provides a solid and flexible platform for working with longer term issues and supporting personal growth. You can read more about the training on my blog.

The ranges of Flower Essences I work with
Every Flower Essence practitioner gravitates towards different ranges of essences. There are several reasons I have chosen to work with these particular ranges of essences. The producer's essence descriptions need to be meaningful for me. They need to be clear and direct and to suggest unique support for issues and feelings that I know my clients seek help with. They also need to be easily available and affordable. On top of this the philosophy and approach of the essence producers is important to me.
Through my experience both in the clinic and my own personal use, I know I can rely on the ranges I use to support my clients emotional well being.
