Flower Essences for major change

Change shakes life up, keeps it fresh and moving forward. It challenges us to mature. Whether we have chosen the change or not, it's not always comfortable or easy to handle - creating stress, bringing up waves of emotions, feelings of insecurity, trepidation - the list goes on.

The changes that leave us stressed may be big or small, but what matters is the effect they have on us.  The sorts of change that people seek Flower Essence support for include:
  • Relationship difficulties and break-ups
  • Losing loved ones
  • Facing serious illness
  • Moving house, city or country
  • Changing jobs or redundancy

Many children are especially affected by change, e
ven when it seems small to us:
  • Starting school
  • Changing class or school
  • Losing pets
  • Blending families and living in more than one house
  • Changes to parents working schedules
  • New siblings
  • Parental relationship tension or separation

Flower Essences for life's cycles

Some changes are part of the spiraling cycles of our lives through which we have the opportunity to learn and grow.  These changes may affect us gradually, subtly, or just as turbulently as unexpected external change.  During these turning points short term Flower Essence Care may be enough to get us back on track, and longer term Flower Essence Care is beneficial when the difficulties are more entrenched or intense or where they are causing old issues to surface.

PUBERTY  During puberty children go through so many changes, their emotional life may be intense and seemingly out of control.  Their social world is changing as is their sense of identity.  And of course there are physical changes which often compound issues with self-image.  Later teens also come up against the issue of determining direction in life which is often challenging for both the teen and the parents.

SETTLING INTO ADULTHOOD
Approaching the age of 30 is often a time of reassessment of direction in life.  At this point many people have a clearer idea of who they are, and what they wish to achieve in life.  After years of the seeming freedom of early adulthood more serious questions come up relating to long term partnership or marriage, children, continued career, where to live.  It's a time of being challenged to step into a more responsible phase of life, which is not always easy.

MID LIFE  This time of life often challenges us to review our lives in some way and to re-shape them, to find a new or more meaningful direction for the next phase.  It is also a time when old issues we thought we were done with resurface to be addressed again, or more thoroughly.  With these pressures to re-shape and review, this is often the time we become actively involved in "personal growth".

MENOPAUSE The popular view of menopause is focused on managing the physical effects - hot flushes, dryness, loss of libido etc.  Like puberty, there are many deeper changes occurring during this life phase.  Identity comes into question again, as does direction.  Our emotional state often changes during this time too, especially if we still have old issues to be addressed.
